The drive up to New Mexico was a little freaky. We hit a lot of snow right before we entered Colorado Springs. The visibility was horrible! Kenzie and I debated on pulling over in the Springs because it was so bad...Once we hit the Springs the snow began to lighten up, though, we decided to push forward. Good thing, too, cuz the snow completely disappeared and we were just left with patches of fog and some drizzle. Easily driveable weather. LOL. Still, I didn't want to get stuck and believe it or not, we made it to the New Mexico boarder in three hours, hit Alcalde in the sixth hour. I took a way I've never been before, through Cimmeron... Too many mountains... If anyone plans on visiting this winter, just take I=25 south all the way to Santa Fe then backtrack. Any other way is too dangerous.
Well, I've been in New Mexico for 36 hours already... It's strange, calling this place home. Last night we built a campfire, which was pretty cool, roasted some chocolate and normal marshmellows. It was funny, cuz the fire smoke seemed to be highly attracted to Mackenzie.. It followed her everywhere she went. Poor girl, I know how she felt.. It kind of attacked me too.
Today we went to Santa Fe, but we only stood there for about an hour. We're all broke so we had nothing to do really. The drive was nice though, Dad kept telling me where I had to watch my speed because the city cops there loved to pull people over. Haha. I forgot my internet adapter at home, so Dad went ahead and bought a new modem for the computers. Yup, multiple, all three are gunna be up and running soon. As of right now we have to share the internet.
Trinket is being a nusaince, like I expected. She kinda tore into dad's carpet today, he wasn't very happy about that. It looks like I'm going to have to buy her a muzzle and have her wear it when I'm not home. It's a good idea, but I'm a little heartbroken about having to do it. Still, its better than her getting a whacking for being bad, right?
Right now Mackenzie is in her room, writing on her computer, giving me time to write in here. Guess what, Colorado? It didn't snow...AT ALL here in Alcalde. Eat that, sucka's! I miss you all very much. I'll write more soon...Right now Kenzie and I are gunna go shoot pop-cans with the BB.
