Well, it seems as though I haven't updated this thing since Thanksgiving. Haven't had a whole lot to talk about. On Sunday, Anjel, Nicolette and Jerry came by the house. We had wine, built a fire, and talked. I got pre-invited to their Annual Camping Trip this summer. I'm actually pretty excited about it, to be honest. I love camping, and these people and their friends are awesome. Nothing else exciting happened in the next couple of days. Um..hm.
Well, today I took Trinket to the vet. Had to get her Mange treated before it got worse. Upon entering Cottonwood (this IS her vet from now on) I had to fill out some paperwork since she was a first time patient. They had a bird in the corner, I think it was a parrot, though I've never seen a parrot with those types of colors before.. The receptionist said that the bird had survived getting mawled by a Great Dane. Guess the dog took out half her wing and most her feathers. She had most of her feathers when I saw her, and it didnt look like her wing was bitten off, I guess due to the feather growth. She kept sqawling, guess the dogs made her uneasy. Trinket looked like she wanted to eat her (then again, what DOESN'T she want to eat?) so we had to hold her tight.
Well, the vet misread the paper work, so when she was introducing herself to Trinket she was all, "Wow! Aren't you a pretty girl, Jenna?" She pet her, "Yes, yes you are! Jenna is a very pretty girl!" Dad couldn't stop laughing and I could feel myself blushing.. I was all, "Don't you mean Trinket?" The vet kind of looked at me weird, re-looked at her paperwork and was all, "Yes. I meant Trinket." I was still blushing.
Well, they weighed Trinket and then took the skin scraping. Yes, she has Mange. But we already knew that. The Vet gave her 2 month supply of medication.. It's oral and liquid. Has a strict schedule to it. Today, Tomorrow and Friday, .01CC's of the solution. Saturday Sunday and Monday, .02CC's of the solution. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week .03CC's of the solution. Friday Saturday and Sunday, .05 .... Monday Tuesday Wednesday .06 Thursday - Remainder of the bottle, .07. I wish I had a calander right about now.
Anyway, Trinket absolutely loved the vet. Head over heels love, I assure you. She wanted to be everywhere the vet was. When the vet would leave the room, Trinket acted as though her whole world ended; whinign and crying and barking and trying to follow her... It was cute, but a little embarrassing. I have to keep this vet, not only is she cheaper than the other vets, but Trinket loves her. I just want my baby happy and healthy, that's all that matters.
Hm. Came home and watched "Four Christmas' " with dad, talked to kenzie... Made some chili cheese fries... And that sums it up. Sorry. Not much else to say. I don't really enjoy putting negative things up on here, like I said before, I save that for realtime talk with friends and family.
